The Superhero is a burly soft shell jacket designed to keep the weather out and the warmth in. Based around the classic soft shell design formula, it’s a form fitting ‘action’ garment perfect for out-and-back day missions and tool swinging on the frozen stuff.
The Superhero is built with a range of strategically placed fabrics (mostly Gore Windstopper Scuba and Windstopper Tasset), to give different levels of protection and breathability where it’s needed most. A zip-off (and stowable) hood adds to the jacket’s versatility, while three external and one internal pocket give you plenty of places to stash your goodies. While I thought the Superhero was a bit on the heavy side for a soft shell, it’s a hard-wearing and good looking garment that gives solid performance in the hills.
