Marmot M-series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.
M3 shells are the most breathable in the M-series. They are best for high aerobic use in mild conditions.

Hi, I’m Tonya Riggs. It’s Memorial Day weekend in Boulder, CO, and we’ve come out to do a little training for Mount Kenya this fall. It’s a little rainy and a little overcast, but we’re going to try to climb anyway. It’s good to train on wet rock.
Today I’m wearing my Marmot Precip Jacket and the new Marmot Scree Pants, which I absolutely love. They’re a very stretchy fabric to allow for good movement on rock. They have a nice pocket below the harness so I can still climb and carry my camera and get photos of friends – nice roomy pocket. I like the zip down here on the pant leg cause it allows you to pull it over your shoes or your boots when you’re hiking. Wonderful stretch – good give – and yet they’re a little water resistant. We just crossed the creek and I got a little splatter, ha ha, but all is good. So we’re going to climb some rock up here and see what we can do…
Here we are in Boulder Canyon. I just led a great pitch – it was wet rock – bringing my partner up. But I’m feeling pretty good cause I’m dry. I wore my new Marmot Scree Pants and they are fantastic! They repel the water in a great way. I had water running down on me at points, sticking my hands in puddles. But it was good, it’s a good day. I really like this pant, it feels like I’m wearing my pajamas. It just moves with me when I go, it’s amazing. It’s got great stretch and good fit, ladies. This pant fits. It’s got a wonderful waist with a little bit of elastic in it so you don’t get that gaping under your harness. And it’s lightweight, yet strong, to handle the abrasion on the rock. So give this one a try – it’s good.
